Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is caused by the coronavirus and is diagnosed as either Effusive “Wet” form or Non-Effusive “Dry'“ form. Both forms display symptoms of fever, loss of appetite, weight loss, and lethargy.

Wet Fip is characterized by a straw colored sticky fluid filling in the abdominal walls.

Dry Fip has no fluid build up but will display weight loss, fever, lack of appetite and lethargy and in later stages jaundice and lesions develop on organs resulting in ocular or neurological symptoms.
